Seals Of The Monasteries	17.2 Seal of the Vatopedi Monastery 1600 Vatopedi Monastery Silver alloy, diameter 6.3 cm, preserved height 3 cm
	The seal bears on the matrix the scene of the Annunciation, the Feast to which the Monastery is dedicated. The figures of the Virgin and the Archangel Gabriel stand out against an elaborate architectural background. The legend above the scene reads: O EYAΓOΛIΣMOΣ (The Annunciation) and that beneath it: + ΣΦPAΓHΣ THΣ ΘEIAΣ KAI IEPAΣ BAΣIΛEIKHΣ KAI ΠATPIAPXHKHΣ MONHΣ TOY BATOΠEΔIOY (Seal of the Holy Royal and Patriarchal Monastery of Vatopedi).
