The Original New Testament

Cyrillic majuscules. Contemporary Bulgarian orthography and illumination. The binding, of stout cardboard and leather, is of later date.

Many folios and whole gatherings are missing.

The manuscript contains the Psalms of David (fols. 1r-169v), a table of psalms for the year (fols. 170r-v), and the Midnight Office (fols. 171r-172v), lacking the end.

A very important MS for thirteenth-century Bulgarian orthography and illumination. On fol. 167r, there is a note to the effect that the manuscript was copied by a scribe named Radomir, and it has hence become known as the 'Radomir Psalter'.
